1.            Pleasantly – Nicely, in a kind way

She treated us very pleasantly.

2.            Impossibility – Unable to take place

Finishing this today is an impossibility.

3.            Constantly – All the time

He is constantly asking questions.

4.            Humorous – Funny

That is the most humorous thing I have heard today.

5.            Inhabitant – One who lives in a place

Every inhabitant of this valley wants clean water.

6.            Glorious – Wonderful

It was a glorious sunset with many reds and purples in the sky.

7.            Miscellaneous – Extra, not a particular thing

Is there any miscellaneous business that you want to talk about?

8.            Omnipotent – All powerful

The Indians believed their sun god was omnipotent.

9.            Enormous – Huge, very large

The sun looked enormous as it rose up in the sky.

10.       Marvelous – Fantastic, great

They put on a marvelous show with many excellent dancers.

11.       Various – Several, no specific type

There are various ways to get to the mall.

12.       Furious – Really angry, fuming

The cats were furious and fought all night.

13.       Ignorant – Not knowing, unaware

You cannot say you were ignorant of the law.

14.       Consonant – An alphabet letter that makes a hard sound, not a vowel

The letter “k” is a consonant.

15.       Acceptable – OK, good enough

I think ten dollars is more than acceptable for a ticket.

16.       Jealousy – Wanting to keep someone all to oneself

Jealousy can be ugly and very harmful.

17.       Available – Ready to be taken or used

If the tickets are available, we can pick them up.

18.       Confident – Feeling very sure of oneself

It looks like the whole team is very confident that they will win the game.

19.       Frequent – Often, over and over

Your frequent phone calls are costing us a fortune.

20.       Legible – Readable, Written clearly

If your writing isn’t legible, you will never get an “A”.
