1.            Adolescent – A person between the ages of 10 and 18

An adolescent is in between two worlds.

2.            Child – A person between the ages of 2 and 10

A child is protected and not expected to be responsible.

3.            Defiant – To refuse to obey

He was defiant and taken out of the class for that reason.

4.            Diffident – To ignore or pretend not to care

I am not being diffident on purpose.

5.            Guardian – One who legally protects

I have always felt like there has been a guardian angel watching over me.

6.            Immature – Not developed, growing, irresponsible

Immature behavior is expected of children but not of adults.

7.            Inconsiderate – Rude, mean thinking

How can you excuse such inconsiderate behavior?

8.            Indifferent – Having no feeling or interest

I can see you are indifferent to the election.

9.            Inept – Clumsy, careless

Sometimes inept behavior gets people hurt.

10.       Infant – A person less than two years of age

That is a beautiful little infant.

11.       Irresponsible – Not owning one’s own behavior

It is irresponsible to make messes and expect others to do the cleaning up.

12.       Mature – Fully developed, grown, responsible, an adult

My mother is a mature and very experienced adult.

13.       Rambunctious – Wild, energetic

That young pony is very rambunctious this morning!

14.       Rebellious – To fight or resist authority

He is so rebellious they may not let him return to the game.

15.       Reckless – Engaging in dangerous behavior

Drinking and driving is reckless behavior that can end lives.

16.       Ridiculous – Silly, inept

It is ridiculous to think that you can miss school and still get an award.

17.       Selfish – To think only of one’s self

Those people are very selfish and never share what they have with others.

18.       Siblings – Brothers and sisters

My two siblings are both younger than me.

19.       Teenager – A person between the ages of 13 and 19

I hope being a teenager is easier for me than it was for my brother.

20.       Thoughtless – To act without thinking

What I did was thoughtless and I am very sorry that I did it.
