1.            Stationary – Not moving

2.            Busy – Occupied, in service, doing things

3.            Particular – This special one, just this

This particular pen is broken.

4.            Nuclear – In the center, the main part, atomic

My nuclear family is made up of my parents and my sister.

5.            Merely – Just, only, simply

She merely asked a question.

6.            Cemetery – A burial place

We visited a huge Civil War cemetery.

7.            Carriage –Wheels, a coach, the way a thing is carried

The carriage was made entirely of wood.

8.            Theory – An idea, an explanation

I’m sure you have a theory about what really happened.

9.            Minor – Small, little, less important

The painting is a minor work and not worth much.

10.       Research – Looking for better ways to do things

Research has improved our lives in many ways.

11.       Despair – To give up, to have no hope

Despair will not help us win this game.

12.       Amateur – a beginner, not trained

An amateur can sometimes do a better job.

13.       Circulate – To send around

Talent is a very desirable trait to have.

18.       Volunteer – Someone who goes because they want to

I tried to volunteer but they already had too many players.

19.       Aeronautics – The study of flight

Aeronautics is fascinating to me.

20.       Unnecessary – Not needed

Hurting people is always unnecessary.
