1.                   Encouraged - Inspired with courage, spirit, or hope

I was encouraged by her words and attitude.

2.                   Taut – Tight, under high stress or tension

The line drew taut and beads of water popped out of it.

3.                   Jerk – Yank, pull forcefully

If you jerk it hard, you may pull the hook loose.

4.                   Sacks – Bags, bladders

The great fish has air sacks along its spine.

5.                   Current – Moving water

He was unable to swim against the current.

6.                   Tension – Strain, a pulling force

Why don’t you relax the tension on this line before it breaks.

7.                   Harshness – Roughness, unpleasantness

The harshness of the environment had turned his skin to a leathery texture.

8.                   Phosphorescence – Glowing, an inner light

The phosphorescence could be seen deep down in the cold water.

9.                   Drag – To pull along a surface

22.               Swell – The rising and falling of the surface of the sea

23.               Freshen – To come up, become stronger, strengthen

You can go on in and freshen up before meeting the rest of the family.

24.               Turbulent – Churning, rough, turning and twisting

We live in turbulent times.

25.               Weight – The downward pull of earth’s gravitational force on a mass

Weight is a characteristic that changes constantly while mass does not.
